The name of the restaurant is inspired by Puccini’s “La Bohème”. The young and charming hostess Teresa felt in love with Guido, a penniless actor and a young artist. They lived a happy life because they were young and in love even if they were very poor. Because of their thoughtless attitude towards life, friends and customers began comparing them to Rodolfo and the beautiful flower seller Mimi, main characters of Puccini’s masterpiece. So in 1943, the tavern located in Via Marconi 2 became Ristorante La Fioraia.
